    SoftPerfect RAM Disk is a program for creating a virtual disk in RAM. Since memory is much faster than physical hard drives, it makes sense to store temporary data in high-speed RAM to achieve higher performance. Modern computers are equipped with a large amount of RAM, but most of the time it is not used and can be used as a high-performance alternative to slow hard drives. RAM Disk allows you to create any number of virtual disks in RAM and is limited only by the amount of free memory.

    - Reduced file system fragmentation - The file system on the disks will be much less fragmented since temporary files are never written to the disk.

    - Less hard drive garbage - Often, applications create temporary files that remain even though they are no longer needed.
    - Less noise - The system will use the hard drive less intensively, as it did when temporary files were stored on the disk.
